From death to life, an image inspired by the resilience of the Ukrainian People.
A not so still life, an evocation of the constant disruption and destruction that is daily life in Ukraine
Mourning the dead, battle-scarred sky, loss.

Currently at the Green Hill Center for NC Art, in the Winter Show. Check their website—lots of great art there.
A synchromy in blue in the background.
A completely made-up image, recognizing decades of my life being in the dark with somebody naked. That's my blue robe on the left. The overhead light started out as a book in a previous failed painting; I turned the canvas upside down and started this one.
What looks like a chalice here is a Japanese ceramic bell, with a small piece of wood inside to act as the ringer. The abstract bird is also a ceramic by a local SC artist, Doug Gray. The last (orange) object is by a well-known NC ceramist, Kitty Couch. I took the boxes from one of Sara's dresser drawers. Because I could.

Painted in the wake of 9/11.
For fifteen minutes this was a lost and esoteric place on earth.
Most of our lives, the most significant moments happen without us being aware of them.
Painted this for a "coffee show" at a local Greensboro coffee shop. The frame on it used to hold an Alvin Gittins, don't remember how I got that. The painting sold, never saw it again.
